Strategic Sales Executive (Remote)

PayNearMe is a Silicon Valley technology company that’s in growth mode and looking to add a dynamic Strategic Sales Executive to our team, reporting to the Director of Sales. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Hunt for new business daily through a combination of lead follow up and target account prospecting
  • Close on large direct sales and channel partner opportunities
  • Master a complete technical understanding of PayNearMe’s current and upcoming products and services offerings
  • Actively maintain a sales pipeline with documented activity in accordance with our processes and methodologies, using
  • Efficiently manage time to focus on activities that grow pipeline and revenue
  • Facilitate communication and provide competitive intelligence to marketing and product development teams
  • Conduct thorough discovery, qualify business needs and prove the value of PayNearMe solutions to address those needs
  • Challenge prospects existing business processes and educate on new technologies to address legacy business pains
  • Understanding of key buying personas and ability to discuss relevant business challenges for each
  • Understand your current position in the PayNearMe sales process and actively work to move qualified opportunities along, to help shorten the close cycle
  • Achieve or exceed assigned monthly and bi-annual sales quotas
  • Build long-term relationships by meeting or exceeding customer expectations for future sales
  • Entrepreneurial spirit able to conduct own technical demos, customize presentations around client business problems, negotiate mutually beneficial business terms before engaging legal, then hand off newly signed clients to the merchant services implementation team with a clear success path 
  • Responsible for Company’s information security by preserving confidentiality, integrity, and availability of Company’s information assets and customer data in accordance with Company’s Information Security Management System
  • Travel to attend relevant trade shows, events and customer meetings


  • 5-10 years work experience in sales or channel sales
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Payments experience required
  • Experience in lending and collections vertical markets preferred
  • Proven success of selling to director level and above
  • Excellent written and oral communication, and presentation skills
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, team environment
  • Strong work ethic, self-motivated and driven
  • Desire to solicit the opinions of others to brainstorm possible next step actions with the ability to accept coaching
  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills
  • Experience with web-based sales enablement tools
  • Strong business acumen and technical expertise including demonstrated ability to use business tools including Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word and


  • Location: Flexible (remote working opportunity available)
  • Travel:  Up to 40% + anticipated
