SANTA CLARA, Calif., June 20, 2023 – PayNearMe, a fast-growing fintech company radically improving the customer payment experience, named the company’s Chief Innovator, Steve Capps, as the first PayNearMe Fellow. This distinguished recognition acknowledges Steve’s, known to all as “Capps,” pivotal role in designing the PayNearMe Platform’s user interface (UI) and ushering in a new era of payments experience innovation.

Capps’ passion for UI started during his early work with Apple, a company revered for its clean, user-friendly interface. This recognition adds to an impressive list of credentials held by Capps, including being named an Apple Fellow and Microsoft Distinguished Engineer.
Capps has an innate ability to visualize and problem solve, aiding in his proficiency to invent new products through quick prototyping. He holds more than 65 patents that span hardware, software, music and toys.
