Okmulgee, OK Nov 1, 2016 – The Muscogee (Creek) Nation Office of Child Support Enforcement is partnering with electronic cash transaction network PayNearMe to accept cash child support payments at nearly 20,000 retail stores nationwide, many of which are open 24 hours a day. The in-store transaction requires no paperwork and can be done in approximately 60 seconds.

“At MCNCSE, we are continuously looking for ways to make it easier for our customers to submit their child support payments,” said Blair Shackelton, Finance Specialist II in the Office of Child Support.  “Knowing how important child support is, we are excited to now offer a cash payment option.  PayNearMe provides many payment locations and will make submitting child support payments faster and easier for our non-custodial parents.”

Non-custodial parents can use PayNearMe to make a child support payment in three easy steps:

  1. Visit https://www.PayNearMe.com/Muscogee
  2. Follow the instructions and select whether they would like their PayNearMe payment code sent to their mobile phone or email.
  3. Choose from the list of retail locations closest to them, visit the store and hand both the payment code and cash to the cashier.

After the transaction is completed, the non-custodial parent receives a receipt as proof of payment. Payments can take up to four business days to post, and there is a $1.99 convenience fee.

“PayNearMe benefits a variety of parents, from those who don’t have bank accounts to those who receive their tips or paychecks in cash and others who simply prefer to pay that way,” said Christian Solomine, PayNearMe’s Senior Vice President of Enterprise and Government. “By providing non-custodial parents with a cash payment option, Muscogee (Creek) Nation is encouraging parents to be there for their kids – and giving them one more way to do that easily.”
