What’s New at PayNearMe: Q1 2021 Edition

Platform Updates
April 14, 2021
Share:

With Q1 under our belts and Q2 unfolding quickly, it is safe to say that we’re now well into 2021. While many things in the world continue to change, one thing that remains the same is PayNearMe’s commitment to providing our clients a modern, flexible and reliable platform they can count on.

Our teams have been busy this quarter, with a total of 17 releases. Here are a few of the improvements that have been inspired by our clients and delivered to the platform during the first quarter of 2021.

Completely Configurable Apple Wallet Passes

This quarter, we made full customization available for Apple Wallet passes.

In addition to configuring colors, logos and other look-and-feel items, PayNearMe clients can personalize their passes using custom fields.

Here are some fields you may consider adding to your customizable wallet pass:

  • Payment amount due
  • Next due date
  • Previous amount paid
  • Previous payment method
  • Payment schedule

…and much more!

This wealth of information allows customers to use their digital wallets as “living” billing statements, so there’s never any worry about what’s due and when. Everything is available in their native wallet app with the click of a button.

You can also provide quick links on the back of your pass, allowing customers to click to make a payment or view their electronic bill.

Continued Focus on User Experience

One of our goals at PayNearMe is to provide you, your call center agents and your customers with the most flexible, user-friendly experience possible when using our platform.

As part of our continued commitment to user experience, we migrated the entire PayNearMe Consumer Portal to the Bulma framework for a more modern look and feel. (This included updating our UI and making some UX improvements).

You can see some of the most significant UI changes in our new forms:

Additional user experience improvements include improved error messaging and error checking for customers entering card and ACH information.

Improved Merchant Reporting

Reporting is heavy on our development team’s mind this year, as we plan our move towards an exciting new PayNearMe Insights offering later in 2021. This offering will provide a full reporting suite, including configurable graphic elements to track key payment information.

As part of this initiative, we have taken the initial steps of adding more configurable reporting options in the PayNearMe Business Portal, including the ability to sort through data in new ways, pull and push additional information and provide new information to help you make key business decisions. You’ll be seeing some of these changes over the next few months.

More Robust Support Tools

You may never see it externally, but PayNearMe’s new Timeline feature is an incredibly helpful tool. This new feature is used by the PayNearMe support team and others to access a wealth of data about client accounts.

This feature will give our support team the information they need at their fingertips to be able to respond to questions more quickly.

In addition to this update, PayNearMe continues to make improvements around platform quality, security and performance across the board.
